Our NHS prescription service is core to what we provide for you here at Pharmacy+Health. Monthly repeat medicines and any urgent, acute treatments that are prescribed by your GP, will be dispensed quickly and accurately.

Why use us for NHS Prescription Service
As your local pharmacy we are here in your community, dispensing thousands of acute and repeat medicines each day. Our professional dispensing teams are providing advice to patients, communicating with your GP surgery daily, making deliveries* to vulnerable individuals.
The NHS pays Pharmacy+Health for dispensing the prescriptions you instruct your GP to send to us. All community pharmacies are struggling with the size of this payment, but it is vital, to help us to continue and develop our patient services.
Our unique investment in technology will release our pharmacists to have more time, to both deal with clinical questions and deliver healthcare appointments for you, our patient.
How it works
If you register with us it sets an NHS Electronic Prescription Service nomination. Your repeat and acute prescriptions will then be received by your nominated branch for us to dispense. Occasionally you may be issued with a paper prescription and you can walk into any of our branches for that medicine to be dispensed.
We are now rolling out our offsite prescription-assembly process across our branches. Your medicines will be automatically picked, labelled and checked using the very latest HubRx technology.
Some items are always free, including contraception and medicines prescribed for hospital inpatients

Frequently Asked Questions
For your planned repeat prescription medicines, we recommend that you request your next prescription in good time. GPs need two working days to create your prescription and then we require the same to assemble and check your prescription. Five working days is our recommendation.
We are currently improving the technology systems used across our branches and hope to soon implement SMS and email notifications about the progress of your NHS prescription dispensing. To get ready for this please do opt-in when you register, or if you are an existing customer tell our staff.
We will help our vulnerable and housebound patients that struggle to collect medicines. In addition delivery may be available to certain home addresses when you initially register online. Speak with our branch staff.
